Phoebe's Nursery

Oh my. How many times have I promised I would post pics "today" or "soon"? Far too many I know. But with only a few weeks to go we had to stop adding things to her nursery and call it completed. Both Scott and I LOVE decorating nurseries - and when it's for your new bundle of joy you find excuses to do more and spend extra. Scott suggested the ocean/nautical theme ages ago and we have been brainstorming ever since.

It has been such a fun Pinterest/Project Nursery adventure!

The pictures may not reflect the best sample of the wall colour, but I had to employ room the darkening curtains and the overhead light to get decent photos on this sunny afternoon.

Our favourite items is a toss up between the rug (Squiggly Rainbow from Home Depot) and the super pink wooden dresser ($30 from Kijiji). Obviously if Phoebe surprises us and is actually a boy we're going to repaint the dresser.

Scott worked away tirelessly this morning folding our diapers (apparently we have a cloth diaper obsession ;) who knew?) and storing them in the baskets.  Fixing up the shelves, hanging pictures and clearing out boxes etc. He's super Daddy - and super thrilled to be able to say Project Nursery complete. I know that Phoebe will have no concept of her new room, but it does weigh on our minds lol. We are waiting on one more thing for her room to put up above the crib which I will share when it arrives (hopefully before Phoebe).

Lucy has assumed her role of "mother dog" following me EVERYWHERE (even if I get up and move couches) and must know a baby is coming soon. She laid out on our bed next to the bassinet as soon as it moved into our bedroom this morning. We are all eagerly anticipating this little bundle of joy, and of course the moment she's here and we are all okay we will post the big news and some sweetie newborn pics. Until then...

I'm not getting any smaller! Haha bring on the sundresses and ice cream!
