Appreciating technology New and Old!

Excitingly my iPad mini arrived today!!! We were able to get a free one with our Bell package installation for cable, phone and Internet. It took a little (a lot) of fanangaling on Scott's part to get the promotion with our bundle but I am so appreciative of his persistence because I'm in LOVE!

I also ran out today and got a super adorable case to keep it safe from harm, Cheerios crumbs, tantrums, sticky hands etc.  While I totally love the smart cases available, I am more interested in protecting my iPad mini. Because as you can imagine....

... I'm not the only one using it :)! For potty training bribes the iPad and cookies are working great. It keeps him preoccupied and has helped him overcome his fear of sitting on it.  I couldn't be more thrilled with this awesome new piece of technology - blogging from it right now :)!

Which brings me to the other exciting thing in my day - the epic vintage radio adventure. When I was leaving our subdivision to bring Sean to Greenwood (then he's carrying onto Digby ferry and Nb) we spied this really awesome vintage radio at a yard sale. I admired and we drove on.  On my way back however I got to thinking about how great it would be to have. Imagine the history! We could always just use it as decoration... Then the seed was planted and I HAD to have it.  Zooooom back to talk the sweet older man. He assured me it was in working order (or he would repair it if I had troubles) and was asking $25. I agreed and zipped out to get my iPad case and get cash back. I was feeling the pressure of yard saling since he had another interested person. Naturally I hit every red light through Commercial Street and FututreShop doesn't do cash back. Gah! To Lawtons I zoomed and then back to the subdivision.

And amazingly this sweet radio is mine all mine all mine :)! It turns out after googling the model number it's a replication of a 1932 radio, but that just means it works really well and looks awesome!

(Slight problem uploading video from the app - stayed tuned!)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoying another post about our Happily Hectic Household!
