Snowmageddon and Bobbing for Cheerios!

We enjoyed a wonderful Saturday all together in this chaotic home. Packing has reached a new level of craziness as the boxes pile higher in every room.  It was a perfect morning to stay inside and avoid the snow...
At the top of our road leading onto a highway. Yipes!

We're down to crunch time  now - one week until we bring this traveling circus back to Nova Scotia. Wahooo and OMG all at once. Scotty was on it this morning and went through our house like a whirlwind packing pictures, paintings, clocks (we don't know what time it is anymore), dishes etc while Jack and I snuggled in on the couch to watch him and Bob the Builder. Jack is slowly shaking off his cold but its taking a remarkably long time for it to vamoose. In the mean time he's still very snotty, congested and slow to wake up. But maybe the last one just has to do with being my son haha.

Some of you may have seen my post on FB yesterday evening...

Well a little snow didn't stop me.

The main drag of the Northside - pretty greasy but at least plowed :)
Okay, a LOT of snow still didn't stop me :) Our little Fit did fabulous in the snow, although the shopping cart at Superstore was a big disappointment. On the way to the car full of groceries it keeled over and dumped my food into dirty snow. And I totally would have taken a picture to blog that epic moment except a wonderful stranger stopped to help me and I didn't want to freak them out haha. :)  Other than that my outing was uneventful. I was one of the looney people out in the storm to get groceries because I didn't plan ahead. I will do better next time I promise. (Maybe follow my own advice that I shared at the end of yesterdays blog lol)

We had a hilarious afternoon playing and packing things. I had to share this little clip of Jack and Lucy playing a new favourite game - bobbing for Cheerios!

video

Lucy is a great pooch - She has adapted REALLY well to a bumbling baby boy in our household and has a big heart. Especially when Cheerios are involved.

-22 with the wind chill? No prob - Crocs for all seasons!
No matter the weather, Scotty is always out there enjoying BBQing and cooking us up a delicious Rubbed Pork Tenderloin. Definitely sharing our favourite rub mix - awesome on everything! Perfect to make up a batch and save in your cupboard for a quick meal :) Check in with us tomorrow ! Until then enjoy that lovely snowfall.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoying another post about our Happily Hectic Household!
