Haha, just kidding. We're not panicked. But we are locked up!
Not exactly the "panic room" but it's where all the critters are locked up with me and Jack while the movings guys bring our stuff out to the truck. It's not just me, Jack and the furries but also all of the things we're going to move ourselves later on today so bedding, pillows, bathroom toiletries and more technology than you could shake a stick at.
For the first 20 minutes it was pretty hectic - Jack screaming, Lucy barking, cats meowing and I kicked over/stepped into their water bowl accidentally which I mopped up with the many receiving blankets hanging around. With Jack napping, Lucy comfortably resting with her bone on the change pad and the kitties in their crates I have a few moments to blog our experiences thus far in the day while I listen to Krock 89.3 streaming on my laptop. Serenity Now Hoochie Mama. (for those who are wondering - watch the clip)
Early morning wake up today - quick showed then right to breaking down the bed, crib (which bit Scott and took a piece of his thumb off) and tending to Jack who spit up three times in three different outfits. Brilliant!
Two mugs of coffee later the movers arrived and have been speedily lugging things out while Scott does tasks around them like picking up the little random things.
One things that has become very obvious - I have way too many bobby pins. I'm like the bugs bunny witch apparently with them just shooting off me at every moment. Or at least that's how it would seem as the rooms empty and the bobby pins become visible.
Which really leads us to this...
|Sorry for the language - but it is entirely perfect for this moment.|
... I am the embodiment of this picture Scott pinned on Pinterest.
Cannot wait to blog part two of the move - Stay tuned!
