Happy New Year's Eve!

We're having some fun food adventures tonight! Jack is having a cutesy meal prepared by yours truly with all my crazy food tools. I can't wait to share with you my latest baby food contraption called FunBites!

And the grown ups are having raclette once we get Jack into bed. We haven't used our raclette yet and we are really excited to try it out! Scotty will be sharing our food adventure with you in tomorrow's blog.

Jack not being very open minded about his dinner!

But don't worry he really did warm up to it after some examining. Like anything new Jack violently opposes it and then slowly warms up to it. He is a funny kid and really enjoyed all the strange shapes once he got into it. (He also scarfed down some home made Mac and Cheese and Apple/Peach sauce. Big eater)

Hope you all have a fabulous New Year's Eve celebrating! Be safe! See you next year :)

All snowed in!

We are totally loving this winter weather! This weekend we've gotten a bunch of snow and everything looks beautiful.

Saturday morning was very chilly and we headed off to the market. Our mission was to get some cheese for raclette that we are going to make on New Year's Eve.

We of course found some other yummy things too! (Almost drove away with the empties on the roof!)

Aside from our market trip we have spent our time relaxing and playing with Jack.

Oh yeah, and watching the snow fall!

And shoveling!

And being silly... :)

Lego Family!

We are loving Lego building this year!

Scott spent an afternoon this week putting together his Christmas present from Jack and I - Star Wars Lego X-Wing fighter.

I was really impressed with the design it is totally awesome!

Jack enjoyed being dive-bombed during breakfast!

Even Jack is working on his block building skills! He's been really into his mega blocks from his Uncle Pat. He loves ripping pieces apart and driving them around in his cart.

We love the creative outlet block play provides for kids of all ages! Time to get prepared for our house being covered in it - better toughen up our feet!

Vacation mode!

Now Christmas is over and our life is returning to normal I feel totally lucky to have a few days off from work to be home with Jack and Scotty.

Today we have had a huge snow storm come through and so it was the perfect opportunity to get outside and play!

There is something magical about a bundle of fresh fallen snow - gotta go mess it up!

Jack loved running around in his snow suit. Our driveway is a little uneven though with a long of ice so he took quite a few tumbles.
(So excited to get some great action shots of him falling into snow!)

Thankfully he would just flop around like a fish out of water until Momma would stop taking pictures and help him up. He's a good sport about the falling but everyone reaches their limit. After a good 15 falls he was frustrated.

We moved up onto our big snow covered deck which made for easier playing.

Jack ran around and loved looking through the railing to the snow down below.

Since he's just 1 there isn't much we can do in a storm besides walk around. Tomorrow when we have a lot more snow and less wind we will try sledding in the drive way!

Boxing Day celebrations!

And another Christmas has come and gone! But we have Boxing Day to enjoy!

It is a great day for playing with new toys, turkey leftovers and relaxing all day.

Oh yes - and playing with boxes!

They are drums, mountains to clim and caves to hide in!

Poor Apollo switched locations after his box was taken over!
